The Benefits of Walking

This little guy is almost 1 years old and has been walking with a toy walker for a while and also holding his mom’s hands. He tends to walk on his toes and also drag his feet. This is a great exercise to promote a more normal walking pattern with flat feet and hip flexion. It also works on the child’s balance and core strength as there is nothing in front of the child to hold on to. This is a tricky one to practice at home! Make sure your child has good standing balance first before trying this!

This little girl is 14 months old and is still unable to pull herself up to stand. This is a method to teach how to get from high 2 PT kneeling to 1/2 Kneeling to Standing!
