Puppy crate training: start with shorter increments and build the time up from there. With our students, we bump it by 30min-1hr every 2 weeks, and extend their “free time” outside of the crate, depending on how they’re doing. Aka: how well they’re holding their potty for. As a rule of thumb: if pup’s doing good, extend the hours. If they’re having accidents, reduce the time again until they get back on track. (This may be a few days to a couple weeks.)
