A hummingbird is killed by mantis while feeding. We have all had a “nectar” dispenser in our garden, we know we will have hummingbird visits and watch them contemplating how cute they can be, this was not that case for these guys, they had to witness how a mantis had the ability to catch the hummingbird in mid-flight, holding it and devouring it. Mantids have front legs that are held in front of their heads as if they were praying and have spines, useful for capturing prey. . . . 📽️ by @marjori
