Hats off to all of the hard-working emperor penguin dads in Antarctica! After mating, the female lays a single, large egg that is then transferred to the feet of the male, who will incubate the egg until it hatches. 🐧🥚 The male proceeds to “sit on the egg”, covering it with a blanket of feathers, skin, and fat for two months in the dead of winter.
