Kilchurn is one of our favourite castles in Scotland, so we felt it deserved another wee video! When pronouncing ‘Kilchurn’ - think “Kill-‘ch’oorn” using the same hard “ch” sound that is used in the word “loch”. A lot of Scottish people struggle with this one too, so don’t worry if you can’t quite nail it. Unfortunately I didn't realise my phone was cutting off the first 0.5 seconds of every clip, but hopefully you get the idea! Kilchurn was home to Colin Campbell of Glenorchy, a crusader also known as the Black Knight of Rhodes. While off on a crusade, Colin had a strange dream which concerned a priest so much, he advised the knight to rush home to Loch Awe as fast as possible.
