Beautiful week at the COTC Garden 🥰 Blackberry, raspberry and blueberry harvesting is in full swing. Our COTC lady volunteers and kiddos helped cut and create beautiful bouquets for some of our foster families. All the roses are blooming. All the veggies are flowering and corn is shooting up. We created a new tomato trellis for our beefsteak maters. Lots of people are asking how we cultivate our blueberry bushes. So here’s a quick reminder. But remember now, the width of your blueberry field row will be determined by what type of equipment or implement you choose to maintain your land with. For example, some people space the blueberry plants closer and prefer to use a rototiller or grass mower and have nice green grass down the middle of the blueberry bush row instead of cultivation. But this is the way we do it to promote good drainage. |
