2021年6月11日 · - Valspar masonry and brick latex acrylic paint could work? - Behr makes a masonry paint product but they don’t recommend it for applications above 140 F. The big unknown is how hot the fireplace actually gets. I know the insert gets between 300-600 degrees but the temperature of the bricks is unknown to me. Appreciate any advice.

2015年12月18日 · I also have a Heatilator (model GCDC 60 (or 80)) and just noticed that my black paint is also peeling, exposing the bright, shiny metal underneath. I live in Houston where the humidity is quite high, so the previous comment about potential for rust concerns me. But, my more immediate concern is whether this is a fire hazard. Any thoughts?

2022年10月5日 · The paint touch up mission sent me to the basement to find leftover paint cans labeled by the painters three years ago. I was dismayed to see that, while I explicitly asked for appropriate fireplace paint and have the email to prove it, the can marked "FIREPLACE" is merely latex paint, Benjamin Moore's Regal Select in matte (same as our walls).

2014年11月21日 · The main difference between a high-temp stove paint and normal paint is just as the name implies, stove paint can withstand higher temperatures without breaking down. If they used regular paint it will bubble, discolor, or change in some way that alters the durability or appearance once you have a hot fire in the stove.

2023年5月1日 · Question is, can I use any standard high heat spray paint from Home Depot or Lowes, or do I have to use their 'specific paint' 'made' for fireplaces? One of the paints at lowes goes up to 2000 degrees and the other goes up to 600 degrees.

2007年10月17日 · the paint stays very clean, and looks like a million bucks. I think it can lighten up a room, as opposed to having a dark presence. brick tends to be dark. we used regular latex paint. in order to paint brick, you need to purchase block filler primer. it closes the pores on the brick and makes it accept the paint.
