If they fail their stealth checks, the cyclops knows their location and can attack them without disadvantage, even if they are invisible or otherwise unseen, until the end of the cyclops' next turn. 2022年10月20日 · Even in 5e, it can still matter, like fitting an enemy inside Forcecage, lifting them with Levitate, etc. And it just helps DMs get an immediate idea of scale without having to invent it whole-cloth on their own (and potentially introducing weird inconsistencies because a DM doesn't have an editor like the books do).

Cyclops were 2 eyed beings that traded one eye away in order to see the future, though that backfired. So cyclops did not evolve to have one eye, they evolved to have two eyes and have a brain wired for two eyes. Alternatively, Cyclops are the result of a goddess with two eyes getting it on with a monster. Still, they inherited the two-eye brain.
