Screen backgrounds have all turned black instead of usual white?
2019年8月31日 · Since recent Windows 10 update my screen backgrounds have all turned black instead of usual white. Can't see how to change this in Personalisation/Settings even after changing background from 'dark' to 'light' - I'm so angry their stupid software took in upon itself to alter how I'd set the laptop up :-(. Any advice gratefully received!

First I thought it was a problem with my last wallpaper, which I had for months, so I changed it. After a few hours using my computer I noticed that it changed itself to black again.

2024年11月28日 · It writes black text on black background. I have dark theme on so that it's easier on my eyes but it writes in black when I try to leave a comment. For others it doesn't happen and they have dark mode on. No one here can figure it out. I have to highlight it to see.

2021年6月21日 · First under view I changed the screen gap to black (screen gaps still white). Then I went under config and changed the display method to direct 3D which gave me the black border. This however caused graphical glitch with my game. So I switched the display method back to Directdraw. It kept the black back ground and I do it every time I play.

2023年10月27日 · My wallpaper keeps vanishing to a black background.....I will set the image and it will be there for a while then it will just spontaneously go "POOF" and be gone and changed to a black background. Sometimes it will just start showing black squares behind the icons on the desktop first and then just go "POOF" and switch to black.

But however a few months ago it started to fill the background with black and not with white anymore. Since the text is alway on a white background, it looks quite ugly to see the exact cutting form and not the white rectangular anymore.

2023年1月24日 · Hi, so i recently updated my windows 10 pc to windows 11. And i am still having an issue related to the desktop: at seemingly random moments when i update the desktop by either selecting with the mouse or hovering over an icon, the background turns black. Then when i restart explorer everything seems normal again.
