Whether new to gardening, a continuing student of gardening, or a gardening veteran, the Seed Library will endeavor to provide new and staple varieties of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds annually for customers to check out.

Visit the Seed Library collection of vegetable, herb and flower seeds at 1025 Broadway SE. The library is located inside the South Broadway Cultural Center. Each patron with a library card in good standing can check-out 30 packets of seeds each year to grow in a home garden!

An illustrated introduction to saving seeds--how to harvest seeds from your own garden, set up a seed library to share with your community, and grow plants from your own seed stash. With a directory of plants and easy-to-follow instructions, this is the perfect book for first-time gardeners.

How the Seed Library Works. You can now request seeds by emailing the South Broadway Library at: [email protected]. When requesting seeds, we need your full name, library card number, and preferred pick up location.

You can order from the seed library at any time during the year. While we make every effort to meet demand, some of the varieties we offer do run out on occasion. Make sure the date on the catalog request form is the most recent so you get exactly what you need.
