2020年6月7日 · I’m fishing from a “rebuilt” 24’ pontoon and love it. The only major drawback to using a pontoon is that they are a sailboat if there is much wind at all. Sometimes I have to double anchor from one end if there is a stiff wind to keep the boat in place. Mine is basically a platform with rails, console, and captains chair.

2009年1月30日 · The older I get , the more I realize that Im built for comfort.....not speed. I owned three boats, one pontoon,one 18ft. Tracker and one 20 ft. Skiff. After five years of fishing Santee Cooper, I gave the Skiff away, sold my brother the Tracker and fish solely out of the pontoon.

2012年3月26日 · Pontoon boats are not all created equal so it is really impossible to say. What I will say is on my local lake the fish bite far better with a 20 mph wind than a 5. I would just as soon stay home with a 5 mph wind.

In fact, I've thought about putting the bimini on the front of the pontoon rather then the rear for that reason. And oh yea. Getting him to the boat is the easy part but its only half the fight.

2012年2月11日 · Stay away from the scissor-type trailers. Those are only good for moving pontoon boats a short distance, like within a boat yard. As for boat length, and with the way the waters can get pretty tough on both Marion and Moultrie, I would recommend a 22' pontoon minimum, and as someone else suggested, a 24' will be even better.

2006年4月8日 · It is still running strong 31 years later. I have several other boats but unless I'm taking a crowd I do not take one of my pontoon boats. I take the Starcraft. Several members of a fishing club I belong to have them as well. And we all like them. I have not had a leak in mine in 31 years. A quality boat and one one leading brands in boats.

For all the supplies I payed approx 28 dollars including tax....there is no drilling all at all. The pipe stay attached with radiator hose clamps.

2010年7月20日 · on the boats top they have an inner circle as shown in the pictures that has a clip you can clip on the zippers of the top. If you have 4-6 on them it's as bright as the day and they last forever. I get them at wallie world though for 8 bucks.
