2016年12月22日 · Grain and compression artifacts are 2 separate things. Grain is either there because of the film they used, or by director's intent with digital video. That has nothing to do with Netflix compression. Compression artifacts (macro blocking) can be a problem, especially with lower bitrate HD or non HD video.

2021年1月22日 · If you hate film grain on older movies then you want to buy discs that have had heavy DNR passes to remove the grain (read reviews), my advice is get into 4K discs as the current trend with some of the studios is to completely remove grain so it's a static lifeless image, Terminator 2 on UHD is a shining example.

2020年6月20日 · The DoF is incredible and really adds to the filmic look but it is the film grain that gives it this natural filmic look. I experimented a bit with the foto mode and turned off film grain. Without it the game looks a lot more "gamey" with that video game sheen that most games have.
