2019年12月21日 · I had an awesome little space heater which one of my teens knocked over one day and it broke. I bought another but it smelled, in that outgassing way. It smelled even when I didn't run it, you could just smell it in the room. I put it outside and ran it on and off for a few days. Then I put it in the garage.

2025年1月24日 · When I had my own cubical pre-pandemic, I had things like a little heater, photos of my kids, wall calendar, teas I kept in my drawer, my own mug, etc. Most of those aren't practical to carry each day so they got eliminated. The office did buy about a dozen small heaters we can 'check out' for the day to use.

The reason I say this is because these small towns tend to only have 1 "sort-of" grocery store (good for that emergency gallon of milk), one small town cafe, and little to no entertainment venues.

2024年12月5日 · I am that person -- I grew up with the house at 60 and have it set to 63-64 pretty much all the time. (We also have bad circulation, so even when it is higher there are rooms that are too hot and too cold). We have some targeted space heaters in certain places that we can turn on/off if we want.

2016年3月16日 · I forgot what it's called, but here is the concept - it's a battery operated device, and a wire (buried in mulch in your case). When the dog or human pees on the wire device delivers mild electric shock up the stream right to the garden of good and evil. It's harmless, but very unpleasant.
