Valdosta State University is proud to announce the 2025 induction class into its Hall of Fame during a special ceremony and brunch on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The event took place in the Student Ballrooms and honored eight exceptional individuals and one championship team who have made significant contributions to VSU’s athletic legacy.

VSU is the only college in the state of Georgia that offers a MLIS degree, which has become threatened by Georgia Senate Bill 390. Georgia Senate Bill 390 was created for public libraries in the state of Georgia to disaffiliate from the American Library Association.

The unexpected departure of VSU’s Interim Police Chief leaves the university searching for someone to run the Police Department for the second time since October. However, there has been an increase in interest in VSU’s police department due to a recent pay raise for on-campus officers.
