EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A new giraffe was just born at the El Paso Zoo! The baby was born to Gigi and Juma, who welcomed Obi in 2023. The new, unnamed baby is healthy and just under six-feet-tall.

VALLEJO — Two new “baby” giraffes, named Chich and Oz, have been spotted at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, where they have joined the theme park’s Giraffe Encounter area.

Mogo Wildlife Park will run a competition to name the two new giraffe calves. Two baby giraffes have been born just days apart in what a zookeeper describes as "rare" and "perfect" births.

and Oz about 500 lbs. have been introduced at Discovery Kingdom’s Giraffe Encounter exhibit in Vallejo, Calif., on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. The two will eventually grow to as much as 4,200 lbs.
