It's possible a Venn diagram can have three (or more) sets depicted within them. A set of pupils were asked which sports they played in school, from a list of Football, Hockey, Netball and None.

Venn diagrams are used to sort sets of data. The probability of an event not happening uses the complement of the region on the Venn diagram. Count the number of elements in each region.
