Chad Stahelski is keeping busy with his video game adaptations, as a new report from Deadline has revealed that the John Wick director will be producing a Netflix adaptation of the video game Sifu, which was developed and published by Sloclap and released in 2022.

A movie based on the video game Sifu was first revealed back in 2022, and now it's gathering steam. It was confirmed today that Netflix has signed the movie, which is based on the Slocap game and will be produced by John Wick veteran Chad Stahelski's 87Eleven banner.

Netflix has joined the Sifu film project, adapting Sloclap's kung-fu roguelike for the big screen. The project was first revealed in 2022, with Story Kitchen producing - that's the company behind other video game adaptations like the Sonic the Hedgehog films, the forthcoming Tomb Raider and Streets of Rage adaptations, and more.

Netflix is moving forward with the movie adaptation of the popular video game Sifu, having recently assigned T.S. Nowlin to write the script, replacing John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. T.S. Nowlin is known for his work on the Maze Runner trilogy and more.
