Kendrick Lamar appeared for the first time during last night’s Grammys ceremony midway through the broadcast, when he ascended the stage—with a barely contained smile—to accept record of the year honors for his death-blow diss track “Not Like Us.”

To accept the wins at the evening ceremony, Lamar took the stage in a classic Canadian tuxedo by Maison Margiela and matching baseball hat by Christina Marie Rivera—potentially a nod to a certain Canadian rapper who’s the subject of the awarded diss track.
