Known as umbrella plants, schefflera are popular tropical houseplants due to their ease of care and gorgeous foliage. There are actually two different species of umbrella plant as well.

I live on the northshore, and I have a very large schefflera plant in an outside planter. It was too large to bring in during the recent freezes and now the leaves appear scorched and dead.
