For many years, Sen. Farnsworth has been trying to remove the requirement that all high school students complete Algebra II.

Simultaneous equations are two or more equations with two or more variables. They are simultaneous because they can be solved to give values for the variables that are equal in each equation.

The bill, introduced Wednesday by State Senator Robert Farnsworth, would go into effect this upcoming school year if passed in March or April.
